RWB is testing the Tunisian and launches its first advertising display campaign in Tunisia.
For the first time in its history, Reporters Without Borders (RWB), has launched its first advertising campaign in Tunisia. This campaign, created by JWT Tunis, has for slogan "Free for how long?" and it is available in insertion press and public display.
The display represent a simple piece of newspaper torn on which it was wrote the slogan "Free for how long?" and below the following message: “Reporters Without Borders opens a bureau in Tunisia. The information is valuable. Protect it together!”
In Tunisia, RWB was prohibited activity under the regime of president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali ali which was ousted from power on January 14th by a peaceful popular revolution after 23 years of reign. Robert Menard, the founder of Reporters Without Borders, had been denied entry to Tunisia at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) held in Tunis from 16 to 18 November 2005.
On 12th October 2011, Reporters Without Borders opened his first bureau in Tunisia.
